Get test BKC
The faucet at faucet.bkc.network sends 1 BKC to an address, once every 24 hours per address and per IP.
- Create an account (any of the three):
- the BKC Wallet extension,
npx hardhat bkc-new-accountin a Hardhat project with the plugin,BKCd keys add <name>if you run a node.
- Paste the address into the faucet. Either spelling works —
bkc1…or0x…— they are the same account, and claiming once under each spelling does not get you two payouts. - Solve the captcha (a short proof-of-work in your browser) and submit.
The faucet pays over the EVM, so the transfer appears on the explorer immediately with its own transaction page.
How much is 1 BKC?
Enough for many deployments. A contract deployment typically declares 1–4 million gas; at the minimum price of 5000000bkc per gas, 4,000,000 gas costs 0.00002 BKC.
API
The faucet has a small HTTP API, useful in CI:
GET /api/config | amount, cooldown, captcha type, network endpoints |
GET /api/status | faucet address, balance, claims served |
GET /api/challenge | a proof-of-work seed |
POST /api/claim | { address, captcha } → { txHash, explorerUrl } |
Refusals say why: 400 for a bad address or captcha, 429 with retryAfter (seconds) during the cooldown, 503 when the faucet is empty.
