Testnet parameters
Identity
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Cosmos chain ID | bkc-testnet |
| EVM chain ID | 262144 (hex 0x40000) — also returned by net_version |
| Bech32 account prefix | bkc (validators: bkcvaloper) |
| Native token | BKC, base denom bkc, 18 decimals |
| Key type (accounts and validators) | ML-DSA-65 only (/cosmos.crypto.mldsa65.PubKey) |
| Sign mode | SIGN_MODE_DIRECT only |
| HD path (default) | m/44'/118'/0'/0/0 (see Accounts & keys) |
Endpoints
| Service | URL |
|---|---|
| EVM JSON-RPC | https://rpc.bkc.network |
| EVM WebSocket | wss://ws.bkc.network |
| CometBFT RPC | https://comet-rpc.bkc.network |
| Cosmos REST (LCD) | https://api.bkc.network |
| Cosmos gRPC | grpc.bkc.network:443 (TLS) |
| Explorer (Blockscout) | https://explorer.bkc.network |
| Faucet | https://faucet.bkc.network |
All HTTP endpoints send Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *, so a browser dApp can call them directly.
Adding the network to a wallet
BKC accounts cannot be held by MetaMask or any ECDSA wallet — they cannot sign for an ML-DSA account. Use the BKC Wallet browser extension, or a dApp built on connectBkcWallet. The values a wallet needs:

Resets
The testnet is reset when the chain software changes in a way that needs a fresh genesis. A reset returns the chain to height 1 and every genesis account to its starting balance; contracts and history are gone. If a deployment script suddenly finds no contract at an address it used yesterday, check the explorer's block height first.
